Who Are Pulse?
Usually the title reads ‘what is pulse?’. We thought this is now more appropriate because we’ve turned into a big family. A family with a large number of members that can turn to us with whatever queries they may have and with whatever they may need.
Pulse is a student organisation that functions on behalf of students’ interest and strives to enhance their rights. The organisation firmly believes that in order for students to succeed they ought to have equal opportunities and benefit from high standard level of education. We aim to represent students and offer student services by involving the students themselves in our decision-making process.
Pulse stood up for students during the stipends matter, the suspension of EU funds for Maltese students (Erasmus), the university parking problem, MATSEC reforms, public transport reforms and the MUT/UMASA dispute. Throughout the year Pulse organises a number of parties and other events ranging from the Annual Beach Party, Bus Parties, We Rock Concert, Sunglasses at Night, the Hawaiian Express, Mafia and Weekend breaks just to mention a few.
Furthermore Pulse also organises plenty of activities at the Junior College including BBQ’s, Football Tournaments, Playstation challenge, movies, LAN parties, Bungie runs, Battle of the Bands and more.
We hope and encourage students at the Junior College to lead an active student life whilst not forgetting to keep in mind their schoolwork to achieve academic excellence.
