University of Malta

This year Pulse wants to widen its horizons and reach more students. The organization has always strived to inform students about what is happening on campus and voice their concerns.

2009/2010 was a landmark year for Pulse where we witnessed our third consecutive Junior College electoral success as well as strengthening our operations on campus. Pulse launched a campaign to introduce the mixed-member-proportionality electoral system. This system will enhance the democratic process at University of Malta and further widen student representation.

Pulse works continuously throughout the year at University to ensure that students concerns are voiced and students are represented in the right manner. The organization stood up for students in issues such as the UMASA dispute, the EUPA youth in action suspension of funds, the parking space problem and the Matsec reform. During the year the Pulse University team works on such issues and also invests in research on matters that concern students.

Thu Pulse University team also organizes debates such as the ‘apathy vs motivation’ debate which treated student politics and related matters and the censorship debate.

At University the organization also participates in KPS (Kummisjoni Politika Socjali) meetings where different ideas, ideologies and activities are discussed between student organization on campus.
